Minnetonka Center for the Arts invites guests to view paintings by Catherine “Kitty” Zimba at the “Texture. Mood. Attitude.” exhibit opening Monday, Sept. 14, in the art center’s Murphy Room, 2240 N. Shore Dr., Wayzata.
Zimba works with a variety of subject matter in her paintings, bringing to all of them her love of strong color, texture and mood. A longtime Minnetonka Center for the Arts student, Zimba has studied with several of the center’s instructors, including Ken Wenzel, Reid Galey and Dorothy Odland.
“Texture. Mood. Attitude.” runs through Thursday, Oct. 22, and is open to the public at no cost. An opening reception for the show is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, in conjunction with the Faculty Show.
