The design is a stained glass mosaic art piece. I design, and create, all of my own mosaic pieces, so each design is unique and one-of-a-kind. All glass pieces have been hand cut by me.  Thi…s design highlights two layered trees inside a criss-crossing mountain valley.  High quality textured art glass is used to create the hills.  The trees were created by layering Uroboros confetti art glass is layered over existing stained glass tree foliage, giving additional depth to the design.  And both natural and man-made rocks provide some additional 3D elements to the design.   SOLDMORE

The design was created as a private commission for a church in southern MN. The design is a glass-on-glass (GOG) mosaic art piece. I design, and create, all of my own mosaic pieces, so each design …is unique and one-of-a-kind. All glass pieces have been hand cut by me. Only the highest quality stained glass is used. Everything is then sprayed with a sealant to protect the glass and grout from wear and tear. In this art piece, I carefully constructed a beautiful, majestic tree, and then placed 500+ hand-cut stained glass pieces to serve as tree foliage.  After grouting the first layer of the design, a second layer of stained glass leaves were added to the tree to create a 3D surface, adding depth and interest.  Blue stained glass was added to create a bright spring sky, and hand-cut textured glass mountains were added at the bottom to finish the landscape. The mountains were ceated by mxing five different types of glass layered on top of each other, carefully cut and placed.MORE

In this art piece, I carefully placed 100+ hand-cut (antique) stained glass pieces to create a flowing night sky around a bonsai-themed tree.  A second layer of foliage has been added to the tree to create a 3D effect for added depth.  The green stained glass used in the tree's foliage is textured.  The glass used for the moon and its highlights is Uroboros art glass. This piece is a one-of-a-kind, handmade stained glass mosaic lantern. All of the stained glass diamond tiles are hand cut, then adhered to the lantern base with silicone and grouted.  The lantern… is sealed so that it can be displayed outside (in rain and snow).  This lantern style is inspired by the lanterns found in the grand bazaar in Istanbul, Turkey. Glass panel design colors include:  blues, yellows and greens (blue-themed).  Each lantern side features a different, unique pattern (but the same colors are used on both sides, so that the whole lantern is cohesive).   Unique piece highlights:  over 250+ hand cut diamonds. Particular to this design is my use of semi-precious gemstones as flower centers, including both agate slices and dragon veins cabochons. Two of the larger flowers incorporate antique glass rondels into their designs. The frame is a new cabinet door in high quality maple wood. The piece comes ready-to-hang, with eye rings inserted in the frame and a hanging chain attached. It can be hung both vertically or horizontally.  MORE

Glass panel design colors include: a variety of shades of red, orange and yellow. Each lantern side features a different, unique pattern (but the same colors are used on both sides, so that the whole lantern is cohesive). Materials: Material of lantern is gray oxidized metal. Grout color is charcoal in color. **Lantern is beautiful both in sunlight and lit from within by candle at night. I visited Japan several years ago and fell in love with Japanese culture. I think the bonsai tree is such a beautiful symbol of Japan, so I made this design with "all things Japan" in mind. …Featured in this design is a wind-blown bonsai tree in the moonlight.
