Copeland, Christopher – Plein Air Painting with Pastels

image_print

Here is a supply list you will need. Some of you have been with my class before so bring same supplies and equipment as before.
Pastels:
preferably soft, most of the store bought pastels in a box are hard, but look for the softest brand you can find. The more you have the better. Bring them in a box container of some type.
Paper:
There are all kinds of paper made for pastels to use, preferably the sanded paper, but again the softest cotton rag or even the Canson brand paper is good too.
Light weight board:
To attach/tape your paper to. Foam core or masonite will do.
Masking tape:
for securing paper to your board.
Easel:
A sturdy standing easel is preferred.
Paper towels
Hat
Handy wipes
portable bench if needed for sitting
We will be outdoors for this class, about three hours, so dress accordingly to the weather.  If in case of rain we will most likely meet at the art center
