image_print

Materials:
Pad of canvas paper, 9×12 or larger, at least 6 sheets
Paints – oil or acrylic – at a minimum:
Raw Umber
Yellow Ochre
Cadmium red light  (or Quinacridone red)
Ivory Black
Titanium white
Brushes:
– 2″ or bigger (to put down a quick undercoat – a good quality house painting brush works fine.)
– mostly large brushes like sizes 8,10 and 12
Good quality paper towels.  I like Viva Signature Cloth towels.  Blue shop towel rolls are good also
Masking tape (boards are available in the studio)
Photo references
– At least three 8×10 photos of what you might want to paint.
– Having definite shadow and light areas will make painting a lot easier and more striking.
– Subjects:
– We will not have time for portraits.
-You can use anything else – landscapes, floral, still life…
– You can use people (figures) shown from behind or non-descript faces.
I will also have some photos that you can use as your reference
